Quick Release Housing locker felt apart for no reason: I always treated my camera and case very well an used the locker with a great caution. A foggy lens and a weak material for the locker are the only complains so far. (Posted on 03/09/2012)

The case is indeed hard plastic.Imo too hard to the pint of being brittle.My applications involve changing out the back plate often on the waterproof case.I noticed a hairline crack on the bottom "hinge" clips at the base of the main unit.The unit itself suffered from no excessive shock or abuse I use the case while paintballing and now the hair line crack has completely gone across the bottom of the clips and they have broke completely off.I emailed costomer service explained what happened ,sent pic and the replied"Unfortunately you will need to purchase a new replacement HD Housing on our website. I spoke with the managment here regarding this issue and our warranty policy ONLY covers manufacturing defects" ...not too pleased with this kind of warranty service . (Posted on 27/01/2012)

We bought the GoPro HD Camera in November 2009 and we are really enjoying it! We've use it in a various of activities here in Gaspesie, Quebec, Canada. We went backcountry skiing, ice climbing, snowmobiling, snowkiting, rafting, hangliding, kitesurfing, sailing, scuba diving, kayaking, canyoning (river and falls climbing), etc. It is soo easy to use and install. Beautifull action shots everytime!!!

However, we quickly had a problem with the black clip that closes the door of the waterproof case. It broke twice. The second time, it was in a waterfall... the camera got completely flooded... but... after a day of drying under the sun... the camera still works perfectly!!! (Posted on 30/07/2010)

Locker Broken Review by Pedro

I have used my camera for a while now and I'm very happy with it's performance. But I got disapointed with the housing on my last trip. I left my helmet on a 1,50 meter high wall and the wind went over it. The helmet fell down and the locker of the Quick-Release Housing broke in three pieces. I would never imagine that this could be so fragile. (Posted on 06/06/2010)

Excellent Case Review by TenBears

I've had my camera out on a few ATV trips now mounted to the top of my helmut and no issues at all with this system. It has not budged a millemeter or came loose at any point. I have not crashed yet or slammed the case into anything that could possibly damge it so I cannot give a complete reveiw of how it would react in those circumstances. The power and shutter buttons work well. I wish there was a way sound could be picked up a little better but that is a small issue. (Posted on 12/04/2010)
