The Picatinny Mount is a new entry for Contour. Their first mount that specifically targets the sportsman, military, or law enforcement individual that wants to mount their camera on a tactical weapon.
Developed specifically to mount your Contour camera on tactical weapon platforms or other devices that use a standard MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny/Weaver rail. This mount is built tough with reinforced polymer; it resists vibration, recoil forces and heat but is also lightweight and easy to use. It mounts securely and easily to the rail via thumbscrew.

Good idea, but beware Review by Jesster
Rating Works great on paintball gun, airsoft and small caliber "real" guns. But does not hold up to recoil from medium - large caliber rifles or shotguns. I broke mine in 5 shots when mounted on a 12 ga. (Posted on 12/01/2012)

Rating Contour is probably the only company that manufactures a proper picatinny rail mount for the Contour HD camera. I use this mount on paintball marker and it has never come lose or fallen apart during a match. Very good quality construction and easy to use. The only con is that it is quite expensive for what it is but you get what you pay for... Minus 1 star for price. (Posted on 01/07/2011)
